• Question: why do we have different face shapes

      This has to do with the genetic composition of our cells. Children born of the same parents tend to resemble because they share genes. On the contrary, children born of different parents hardly ever resemble.

      Genetics. Just as Christina has explained. In addition, some characteristics will be encoded for by alleles that are dominant or recessive. If any characteristic is dominant, it will be more prominent in the offspring even if the other recessive chacteristics is inherited. eg, ever noted that certain families have maybe eyes, or nose or height etc that is the same as only one parent?
      During meiosis, there is recombination, crossing over and independent assortment and all these ensure that you and your siblings, even though come from the same parents are not exactly the same-well, identical twins might be an exception
