      Hi Wilberforce,
I am not sure I have the right answer to this question as it depends on a number of factors including your spiritual convictions, the frequency and whether or not it affects other aspects of your work and social life.
Masturbation starts mostly as an act of exploring oneself and is probably the safest form of sex. However, just like anything else, too much of it can have negative effects. I think the jury is out, with no straight answers on whether it is good or bad. Some of the negative effects may include psychosomatic disorders – that is mind and body disorders. For instance, a person who masturbates and feels guilty about it, maybe because of his spirituality, might end up having difficulties in “normal” sex. Too vigorous masturbation might also lead to bruising, bursting of blood vessels in the sex organs and deformities.

Hi Wilberforce, it is both ways. the only recognizable but not supported by evidence is that it can prevent prostate cancer. Other than that, one can suffer bruising of the urethra and consequently cause what we call a stricture. A stricture will prevent urine from coming out and that is really painful. In addition, lower back pain is very common.
