      @ Dolly da Gucci,
It is amazing that I had never really thought of how this happens despite being one of those people who can wear a sweater to the beach because it is so windy and I get cold!
Feeling cold, is a way your brain interprets the message it has gotten from the nerve cells on your skin allowing you to initiate action such as taking cover, dressing warmly or even the body’s natural responses to cold such as shivering and making the hairs on your skin upright to ensure that their is air captured for insulation. It is an adaptation to ensure that you maintain your body’s temperature -homeostasis.
When any material lands on your skin, it draws heat from your body and evaporates. Perhaps the most common example given is usually spirit. Water and air particles will have the same effect too. When it is windy however, even in a normal temperature region, the particles draw heat from your body and are replaced in very quick succession resulting in you loosing your body’s temperature faster and feeling cold.
