this is a very important question that perhaps public health officials and the ministry of health should consider adressing. I will let my medic collegues Christina and George answer this in more detail.
However, my advice is that all people with such illneses should try so much to keep strictly following their management strategies eg diet for diabetic and hypertensive patients, or taking drugs where applicable.
It is such a shame that the doctors are still on strike and the government is not doing much. We continue to pray for quick resolution
